To increase the evidence base about the current situation of intersex people in the 4 implementing countries and thus the ability to inform and influence policy
The BRING-In partnership represents a dynamic mix of well-respected and high qualified academic institutions, civil society organisations, human rights and LGBTI/ gender equality advocates and ICT experts and capacity providers (i.e. professional associations) that altogether will BRING-In all necessary knowledge, experience and resources to achieve the project objectives and expected results and by that way positively influence national and EU policy development in the field of intersex people’s human rights.
Our consortium was set-up based on the principle of complementarily that we consider an essential prerequisite for a meaningful exchange of knowledge, experiences and practices in an area for which very little is known until now not only at national, but also at EU level.
To achieve these targets, our team will reach out to a number of audiences that will bring value to the protection of the human rights of intersex people, primarily to social (e.g. social workers, psychologists, etc.) and health care (medical/ paramedical) professionals, the general public, and policy and decision makers at local, national and EU level.
The following figures say it all as to what we want to achieve!
At least
150
intersex people and/or their families
in 4 EU countries
At least
1000
social and health care professionals
and intersex rights defenders
At least
8000
public and private stakeholders, policy makers
and human rights representatives
The BRING-In project will be implemented within a period of 24 months (March 2020 – February 2022) with the aim to achieve the following leading-edge objectives:

To improve the capacity to prevent and combat intersex discrimination in the social and healthcare sector through increased knowledge and understanding among professionals about the needs of intersex people
To increase the availability of Online Learning Resources on intersex equality that professionals, stakeholders and policy makers can draw upon
To increase the availability of Online Learning Resources on intersex equality that professionals, stakeholders and policy makers can draw upon
